Hospital(Ann and Tony)

Ann's hand hovers near the liquid, as though it might burn her. Then she snatches the crystal.

Ann: The crystal evades your grasp, trying to keep a centimeter of water between you and it at all times. Looks like you'll have to get rid of the water first.

Ann tries to push some water out the way. "Any idea what this might be?"

Ann: The water refuses to leave the copier, for some reason. This is probably one of those silly magic things where everything's metaphorical and crap. [Dunno. It doesn't feel bad, at least. Maybe it's like that crystal from mister Elias' place, that Tony thought got rid of zombies.]

"OK, if we need to move fast, we move this way. I guess I'll carry you if that happens." Ann heads off out through the door.

Ann: Erk. You're still not liking the looks of this jump. It's a 10 foot leap to the solid floor, and the angle is such that you can't really get a running start. Still, where there's an Ann, there's a way(or something like that).

Ann goes to check out the maternity ward, hoping to fin another doorway.

Ann: It's a 20x20 room, with only one light still shining. There's a lot of baby beds in here, some of which are knocked over and plastered with blood. Near the back of the room is a metal door, leading off to who knows where, and a table with some clipboards and papers on them.

Ann walks through the room, ready to shootificate killer babies or baby killers, whichever occurs first. She glances at the clipboards and then checks out the door.

Ann: The clipboard is a list of who's supposed to be in the room.

The door is a rather nondescript painted white metal, leading out of the room. It's presumably made of metal so no escaping baby could open it. There's a handle, but a blue glow surrounds the handle, of the same color as the crystal and liquid outside.

Ann scans the room for a way of destroying the list and checks out the other papers.

Ann: You think you remember seeing a lighter on the desk in the nurse's station, but you're not entirely sure. It was just a quick pass through, after all.(2 7 9 6 10/8 ) The papers are a list of schedules on what to do with the babies in the room, as well as legal paperwork for the inhabitants of the room. You note there's some for you and Midori as well, for no good reason other than to creep you out.

Ann goes to fetch the lighter, and if it's there, sets light to the paper.

Ann: Ahah! You're as clever as you think you are, and you now own a happy lighter. Probably shouldn't leave these things lying around in the maternity ward, but eh.
You set the papers ablaze with deft skill, the glittering ashes crumbling onto the desk. [What was that all about? Why were our names there?]

"I don't know. I don't want to know." Ann tries the door, just in case things aren't as they seem.

Ann: A loud, cold, metallic voice sounds out as you do so. "Fingerprint data does not match. Please provide voice print for verification."

Ann puts a finger to her lips, and backs slowly out of the room.

Ann: The voice repeats its demand, but doesn't seem to hear you leaving. You return to the nurse's station, the crystal and liquid glowing back to life as you enter. [What was that all about?]

"Magic security. Somebody set it up, I guess. Maybe that doctor. I think we're going to have to get over that hole." Ann returns to the hole.

Ann: The hole is still as it is. You're starting to pick up the smell of that leaking sewage by now. Not very appetizing. [Um... I can't jump that far, miss Ann...]

"I know. This will be freaky, but trust me." Ann hooks baldrick's box on her tail, concentrates and attempts to use form magic to give herself the ability to reach/stretch across the hole.

Ann: Your arms are now very long. All well and good, you hope. This feels really weird. [Whoa...]

"Yeah." Ann tries lifting the fox. Then she tries pushing up off the ground, then reaching across the hole, all to see if these new arms are suitable.

Ann: You reached the other side, and grabbed on. Now you just hope you have the leverage to pull yourself up from this awkward position. Also, you hope that you're not in a cartoon where people will come running across you any moment.

Ann tries to put the fox down on the other side.
