Outset - First Day

Anne keeps the door covered and talks quietly without looking around. "You know, yesterday I'd have thought that was weird. What's you fox saying?"

Tony looks back for a second, a little flusterd. "there is a strange crystal in here, she said that she saw one of these things in her school, but that one was turning people into monsters. This one... seems more... good? helpful? something like that." Tony looks at his armband a moment, and remembers back to when Ann used magic in the car. He decides to test it out and casts a spell on himself.

[Unknown Buff spell, 1 minute cooldown.]

"OK, sounds like a good thing to have with us. She used to be a kid, huh?"

Tony frowns a little and looks behind him saying, "Im trying to not pester her about it too much."

"OK, sorry. Shall we keep moving? I, um. I don't like it much here."

Elias take a moment to stop and see wherever Tony has run off to, then shortly begins the ascent to the apartment. He quietly scans the area, not terribly interested the discovery of heaven-knows-what they have stumbled upon now, and signals for the others to follow.

Annie follows, reluctantly lowering her gun, so as not to point it at his back.

Ann, Elias: You head upwards to the second floor. It's a much nicer place, with nobody plastered all over the walls, though they still haven't gotten those broken lights fixed(You note about half of them are still working). Elias' room is just ahead.

Tony slaps himself in the face a little to regain attention, then decides to pick up his backpack and wait for Midori to get in. He then steps outside of the room and follows his companions.

Tony keeps moving, following the party, but in a somewhat nervous tone. "Uh guys? anyone else getting that strange sensation? I... uhh, its kinda strange." Tony decides to hurry his pace to catch up to the old man and the woman.

All: Tony approaches from behind, looking a little spaced out, and seems to be moving faster than usual, despite keeping his usual loping pace.

"Not right now. Are you feeling invisible stuff around people? I think that's a magic sense."

All: An odd purple light from behind you catches your attention. Renton has stopped in his tracks, as a strange angular purple glyph has appeared behind him, floating in the air.
"Ohhh, right, I was supposed to be home by sunset... Oh well, see ya later!" His goodbye is cut short, as some force in the glyph picks him up, and bends him at what must be a very painful angle, stuffing him inside and disappearing without a trace.
The hallway returns to its usual lackluster illumination.

"Well fuck me." Annie is no longer in alert mode. She sags a little.

Tony frowns at the disappearance, "right, like we needed him around. figures he would just run off. Anyhow, where is your room old man?"

"Why was he meant to be back by sunset? What the fuck is going to happen in the night?"

Tony shakes his head, "what, where you never a kid? curfew is at nightfall. So either someone wanted him back before night so he wouldn't be prowling the streets or he was just making that crap up so he could ditch us."

"OK, whatever, lets keep going." Annie walks onward.

Leaving his compatriots to bicker, Elias gingerly moves towards the door, bringing his gun to bear. He unlocks the door and swings the door open ready to shoot anyone that does not belong there.

All: It's not the cleanest or prettiest of places, but it's apparently a home to someone(to those who consider Elias worthy of the title "someone"). It's a small, one room apartment, with beige colored everything. The carpet looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months, there's various bits of home strewn all over the TV and counter, and it smells far too much like the old man in there.
Elias' attention is drawn towards a very friendly locked cabinet, containing his wonderful supplies for surviving people who need to be shot.

Elias rushes, as much as he can do so, to the cabinet and opening it up and examining the contents therein.

Elias: Inside the cabinet are your own personal firearms, ready to be taken out for a walk.
