Already used to this kind of behaviour, Annie answers the ratman as though his question is perfectly sensible. "Illegal recreational drugs, Renton, like cocaine. They're really expensive normally, but now they'll be harder to get, so if we find some we can probably use them as cash." She won't be snorting any herself. No sir. Not going to happen.

Tony shakes his head at Anne's srtatement. "we wont really need anything so particular as cocain. Opiates, or most perscription drugs would do if your going to try to use them as money. Of course, after too long I'll bet most drugstores will be picked clean."

Elias, mostly trying to ignore the inane chatter around him, finds a suitable place to stop on the curb, and brings the car to as gentle of a stop as he can. He now looks back to the group, and raises his voice a bit.

Tony opens the car door, and steps out, gently placing his backpack back on. Once out of the car he looks at the city around him.

Tony: This appears to be a rather rundown part of town. Across from the apartment buildings, you see such lovely things as porn shops, a run down bar, a strip club, and more. For some reason, the bar and shops look decent, but the strip club has had the front windows smashed in violently.

Tony looks over at elias with doubt on his face. "So you keep your guns here old man? wouldnt the managers get pissed if they found out?" Tony walks towards the front door of the apartments, keeping an eye out for the walking unliving.

- The odd feeling of "something" existing all around you seems to be getting stronger. You can almost feel it with your skin as your arms move through the air. Just concentrating with your mind, you can pick out spots where it feels thicker... like a concentration around Tony, and a huge spool of it in his backpack, and with the ratthing scampering out of the car.

"Home sweet home." Elias says while lazily leading the group along. It doesn't quite seem like he realizes he said that aloud. He pays no real mind to the fact the others behind him a trudges along toward the apartment.
After an inordinately long wait Elias turns back to Tony, "The way I figure they're dead, or wishin' they had guns right now. Either way I don't think they're in a mood for bitchin' over details."

Elias: The lobby of the apartment building carries that lovely inner city living atmosphere. Busted vending machines, vacant landlord office, and it looks like someone's dog really needed to go on the carpet. Looking towards the stairs, you notice the landlord is in no condition to complain about your guns, as he appears to have been carved out and spread all over the wall, making out the words "God is dead". Someone appears to have written "un" next to the dead in permanent marker.

Annie shifts gears into "Afraid". She's ready to run and she starts pointing her gun at the various doorways. She looks at Elias, waiting to be led on.

- The small office looks like the remains of a shitty room with a desk and computer thrown in to make it useable. At the moment, though, it's been trashed by what appears to be a large, purple crystal that's shot up from the floor through the desk, illuminating the room softly in a calm glow. On the floor to your right lies a man who appears to have been in some level of undeath at one point, due to the level of blood and guts situated around his mouth(8(1)). However, not only is he not moving, he appears to be rotting like a normal corpse anywhere the light of the crystal is hitting. The crystal doesn't feel "bad", though you're not entirely sure why you feel that way. Maybe it's because it seems like a handy zombie-b-gone tool.
The fox starts flailing around in the backpack for some reason.
Exercise - Tony: +1 Wits, +1 Investigation

Tony takes one step inside the room and takes his backpack off, gently setting it on the floor infront of him. He unzips the bag a bit and looks inside at the rustling fox. In a serious manner he asks, "Whats up?"

- She pokes her head out and paws at it for a second, trying to keep her eyes open. Seems she nodded off again, and the crystal woke her up. She looks around, then focuses on the strange desk destroying crystal. "I've seen one of these before, in the park by my school... though this one seems... nicer somehow. It's like it's... giving off some kind of power, though the other one kept making people into... things. This one doesn't seem like it does that. Like it's... there to help or something." She takes a hop up onto the remains of the desk to get a closer look.
The crystal keeps glowing gently.

Tony walks over to the crystal, following the fox. Once close enough, he places one hand on the crystal and tries to see if there is anything inside of it while racking his brain for anything he can think of for relevence.

- The crystal's glow immediately centers around your hand... and it's like a surge of energy, shooting into your hand, and up your arm. Feels nice...
The armband starts to glow like mad, as the fox immediately pokes her eyes up at your arm.
