Shepherd looks over to the ferret and gives an expression as if the ferrets vote does not count.

"Apple, your thoughts?"

[Caput]

"I'm not going back to that office. If I did that, I'd have to start a fight sooner or later, and that would suck. More magic is good, more money is better. Lets pick a place that has the magic and head there. Might be better jobs for people I don't want to punch."

Shepherd nods in agreement.

"So what, just wander out of town until we find something interesting?"

[Meester Roboto]

"In the direction of the closest sizable town, sure."

Jochen reaches around under his shirt for a moment, and pulls out a peice of paper. He spreads it out on the bar, showing it to the others. "Alright, where to then?"

Shepherd looks at what seems to be a map, comparing his geographical knowledge to the maps.

The entrance to the kobold settlement should be around Mayville, if that's where the fighting was. Brookside is about 20 miles north of Mayville, and some large hills separate you from the Allsborough side. It's about 60 miles past Mayville.

Kobold Town: Dunno.
Brookside: Small town, Farming. Similar to Mayville.
Allsborough: Large town(40k), Commerce and Shipping.

There should be an entrance to the tunnels running through Alta Vista in those hills, possibly at the kobold settlement too, if they haven't walled it off. There's supposed to be goodies down there, though also monsters, so you might wanna make sure your ready if you're heading an expedition down there.

Shepherd points to a place on the map. "There, we could head towards Allsborough."

[Caput]

Apple shrugs. "Works for me. It'd be good to go soon, so Chrisi can stop being a... whatever. Are you going to be able to cast all that magic, even if we afford it somehow?" She's most of the way through the first of her two glasses.

"If I can get me into this mess, I can get me out. Castin spells is easy." She's nearing halfway through her glass, despite being on a comparable height with it.

[Caput]

Apple watches in fascination. "Where are you keeping that beer?"

[Fragmaster01]

"In my thoughts." *hic*

Shepherd gives Jochen a look as if to ask his opinion.

[Xaer QwickBlade]

Jochen finishes his drink and then replaces his scarf on his face. "If we head strait for Allsborough we may want to be carful. There should be a tunnel entrance in those hills. Supposedly there is some valueable stuff down there... but there is a reason it's still there. Of course, if we are just going to pass it by, we will just have to watch for anything that crawls out."

Apple brightens up at the mention of treasure. "Sounds good. What's the reason it's still there?"

Jochen pauses for a moment, almost slipping off his bar stool at the question. Taking a second look at who he is talking to, he regains his composure and answers, "The creatures in the tunnels tend to kill people that go in. They also occasionally crawl out and try to cause trouble for the locals."

"think kobolds." Shepherd offers to apple.

Jochen shakes his head as soon as Shepard comments, "Metall falsch Mann... It's not just kobolds down there. There are other things down there too, although probably no where near as organized as kobolds"

Realisation dawns. "Oh, you mean because of the monsters! I heard something about that. Sounds awesome, but I'm pretty sure you need a magic sword and a clue what your doing, so yeah, lets not go in there."

Jochen tilts his head, "Entschuldigen sie mich, was? What are you talking about, what magic sword?"

Apple thinks about that for a moment. It's an important question. "Any magic sword, I guess. Probably not one of the cheaper ones though, more the kind with a name and a story, that you wouldn't see in a store. Always liked the fire and lightening ones, myself. Saw a drunk guy showing one of those off once, shooting sparks and stuff everywhere. He was like, some kind of samurai guy or something. Couple of kids stole it. That was so damn funny..." Apple shakes her head and smiles as she remembers, then goes back to drinking.

Jochen heaves a sigh "dummkopf..." and gives up on trying to understand or pursuade Apple for now. He takes this time to think and stare into his empty drink.

Apple raises an eyebrow. "And what does that mean?" She's amused, not irritated.
